There are literally millions of compositions to be found at the Grand Canyon, I could spend months there exploring with my camera.

I love taking photos in Canyonlands National Park. The views are spectacular.

I love visiting Great Smokey Mountains in the the fall when the trees are at their peak.

I first picked up a camera in 1975, but it wasn’t until after 23 years in the Royal Australian Air Force and the British Royal Air Force—serving in places like Cyprus, Gibraltar, Croatia, and Bahrain—that I truly returned to it with intent.
While military life taught me structure and resilience, photography offered something else entirely: stillness. A space to observe, to breathe, to reflect.
Through the lens, I’ve learned to notice what’s often overlooked: the curve of a petal, the hush of coastal light, the silent geometry of shadow and form.
My work explores everything from moody florals and painterly abstracts to birdlife, reflections, and landscapes shaped by memory and light.
Photography helps me remain present. It’s how I process the world and how I share what moves me—quietly, intentionally, without need for noise.
Every image is a moment I saw… and listened to.
I hope it speaks quietly to you, too.

I have a difficult time choosing my favorite photo. It is a similar task to choosing my favorite song, or favorite food. It's not easy.
I find that the photo that might be my favorite today will change by next month, and that is because I tend to get attached to the most recent photos I have taken. With that said, this photo is my favorite this month...haha. By next month I hope I will have taken a new photo that I love even more!
I love my camera deeply—not just as a tool, but as a constant companion in my journey through life.
It's been with me across continents, capturing moments both grand and intimate, giving me the power to freeze time and tell stories through light and perspective. From quiet alleys in old towns to sweeping mountain vistas, it has helped me see the world more clearly and express the way I feel about it.
